Lafarge UK asked TS247 to produce two MCC’s as an upgrade for the main production unit. The motor control centres were produced to the “Form 4 Type 2” standard and linked into the factory SCADA system. The whole system was built off site and then installed in a very narrow gap in production. A bank holiday weekend was used with the plant given over at 6pm Friday night and handed back fully operational at 6am Tuesday morning. TS247 worked around the clock to ensure that no production was lost.
